Netzero's free internet access has been around for awhile, and they are apparently the 9th largest Internet Service
Provider in the nation. That means lots of local access numbers. However, they have recently changed their
service to only 40 free hours per month, and $9.95 per month after that. Click on their name above
to check out their site for download instructions.
Juno has offered free email forever, and a while back they began offering
internet access for competitive prices. Now, they offer free internet access with an ad bar similar to
Netzero's. If you already use their email, this could be quite convenient to use.
FreeLane's free internet access is powered by Excite. Their ad bar is
very similar to Netzero's, but appears to be smaller. Get fast 56k connections, unlimited/unrestricted internet access,
and use of any software you want! Available to most areas of the US and Canada.
I tried it - it's fast and it works very well - the download file is only about 700K.

Many of the free ISPs are going out of business. I have
actually started paying for internet access myself - Juno had a great deal in December for existing members.
For a while, I only pay $5 per month. You will find paid connections to be faster and have less disconnects
for the most part. If you pay for internet access and have found a great deal, or if one of the free services
works exceptional for you, please email me.

Bluelight, KMart and Yahoo! have put this one together. It is also fairly
new, so check for local access numbers. Their download file is a little larger, about 8MB.

dotNow! is on a blistering pace to bring free Internet access to everyone.
In record time, they've added over 3500 points of presence (POPs), and they're just getting started. If they're not in
your town yet, they'll be there soon.
Address.com is a premiere provider of totally free Internet service at the
BEST "Address" on the Net! People choose Address.com for fast and reliable 56k Internet access without the
expenses and headaches associated with other ISP's. Why pay $250 a year or more when Address.com allows you to
surf as long as you like for free?
Freei.net, or FreeInternet.com has been bought out by Netzero. Now, if you go to Freei.net or FreeInternet.com you
will be taken to the Netzero website. I'll leave this message here for a little while to keep people informed, and
then I'll replace this spot with another service worthy of mention. Do you have a favorite you would like to see here?
Let me know.
